Pia Amsell & Barbro Wesslander Designstudio are based in Stockholm.
The two designers both studied at Beckmans College of Design,
Productdesign, where they graduated in 1995.

The core of their wide range of commissions is textile design, utility goods
in glass or ceramics and other products for every day use. Their design is significant for feminine and soft shapes combined with an obvious function,  sophisticated and playful at the same time. Their great sense for color and patterns with a graphic simplicity, often inspired by nature, have resulted in several collections of glass and textile.

Pia and Barbro have been working with IKEA for many years. They have designed some bestsellers sold all over the world. They also have a portfolio of individual commissions.  Barbro has a longstanding working relationship with BodaNova which has led to an extensive collection of glassware with a variety of decor. Pia works with glass in different ways and designs tufted carpets for Adesso.

In addition to their commercial work, Pia and Barbro have continously
participarted in exhibitions at the design gallery Gallery Pascale in Stockholm.
They have also participated in Swedish exhibitions in Europe, Tokyo, New York, among other venues.
