“Camilla Diedrich was born to an oil painter mother and a photographer father. So pursuing art school training, ultimately earning a master’s degree from the College of Arts, Crafts and Design, seems genetically predetermined,” by David Sokol, editor of ‘Nordic Designers’ published by Arvinius. 

“I grew up in studios with Bob Dylan’s music and the smell of oil paint always in the background. I decided not to become an artist because I found that studio work lonely, so I went to theatre school.”

Awarded Working Grant by The Arts Grants Committee, Excellent  Swedish Design, Light Idea of the Year by the magazine Sköna Hem and a Special Mention Award at The XXI Compasso d’Oro 2008, Italy. Compasso d’Oro, established in 1954 is the most authoritative award in the section in Europe.
